MHP/Team SI Wins Three Silver Anvils and an Award of Excellence at PRSA 2021 Silver Anvil Awards

MHP/Team SI Public Relations team nationally recognized for 2021 Silver Anvil Awards, led by Vice President of Public Relations Kristen Vandaveer Nicholson, APR.

MHP/Team SI received three Silver Anvils and an Award of Excellence at the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) 2021 Silver Anvil Awards, the most prestigious PR award at the national level. On June 10, public relations professionals from across the nation gathered virtually to celebrate PRSA’s annual award ceremony to recognize innovative and strategic public relations campaigns and initiatives.

“We are proud to be recognized alongside our clients in four categories at the 2021 PRSA Silver Anvil Awards, the PR industry’s most prestigious awards recognizing creativity and, more importantly, demonstrable results,” said Sharon Tallach Vogelpohl, president and CEO of MHP/Team SI. “We have an incredible team led by Kristen Vandaveer Nicholson, APR, one of the most innovative and committed professionals in the business, clients with vision and a culture that builds trust, fueling new ideas. Clearly, it’s a winning formula.”

MHP/Team SI and its client, Kinetic by Windstream, were awarded in the following categories:

  • Community Relations – Business Products for the #LocallyLexington campaign, a Kinetic by Windstream initiative to support locally owned businesses in Lexington, Kentucky during the pandemic.
  • Most Effective Campaign on $5,000 – $10,000 Budget – Business for the Uplift Arkansas campaign that launched upliftarkansas.com, a one-stop resource that provides a comprehensive, reliable list of information on local businesses, restaurants, services and more.
  • Most Effective Campaign on a Shoestring Budget of $5,000 or Less for #LocallyLexington.

The agency also received an Award of Excellence in the Crisis Communications category for efforts with the Arkansas Health Care Association (AHCA) on COVID-19 crisis communications.

“We are honored to be named a finalist for the Silver Anvil Awards,” said Rachel Bunch, executive director of AHCA. “2020 was a challenging year for us all, but for the association, having MHP/Team SI on our side to communicate to our stakeholders such vital messages while simultaneously combating misinformation was key for our progression in battling COVID. We are so glad that the great work that we did received such a prestigious recognition.”

The 2021 PRSA Silver Anvil Award ceremony included more than 120 finalists in 19 categories and other additional subcategories. PRSA is the nation’s largest professional organization for the communication industry and has a membership of nearly 30,000 professionals across the United States.

MHP/Team SI hosted a virtual party at its office in Little Rock to celebrate the award ceremony with its team members and clients. See photos of the celebration below.

“We’re proud that the #LocallyLexington campaign was recognized for this national award, but we’re even more proud that the program helped support small businesses in Lexington during the pandemic,” said Kerri Case, public relations director at Kinetic by Windstream. “Though we weren’t able to attend the ceremony in New York City this year, we were thrilled to celebrate with the MHP/Team SI team and our local Kinetic team in person in Little Rock. We are thankful for our partnership with MHP/Team SI and our abilities to create successful, award-winning campaigns together.”
